Family Life
Wavinya grew up in a middle – class home in Athiriver, a suburb of Mavoko. Her dad, Ndeti was a mayor of Machakos and a small business owner who grew his enterprise from scratch. He worked hard and invested in real estate to sustain his family. Wavinya helped with the family business in running a shop whenever she could. Wavinya’s childhood was very different from the ordinary. Her parents built a stable middle-class life. Wavinya attended public schools and was Girl Scout. She was raised a Catholic.
