She started her school journey at Athiriver Primary School, She was transferred to AIC Kajiado Girls where she attained her CEP. She attended The Kenya High school where her passion for social justice was sparked and she embarked on her quest to serve the less privileged in the society.

After graduating from High school, Wavinya attended the British Computing Society where she is a graduate member. She further proceeded with her studies to South Bank University and graduated with a Diploma in Computer Science and also a Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies. Wavinya holds a Masters in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University. Her Leadership roles were nurtured early and was actively involved in student politics.
